As the National HR Manager - Fulfilment Operations, you’ll play a pivotal role in enhancing engagement and driving HR strategies across all our Fulfilment Centres (FCs) in Australia. Based primarily at our Wetherill Park site, you’ll collaborate closely with the People & Culture and Operations teams, leading initiatives that shape a culture of engagement, compliance, and continuous improvement.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in HR leadership roles within fast-paced, operational environments such as food manufacturing, FMCG, warehouse pick & pack, or logistics.
- Proven expertise in employment relations, including interpreting and applying Fair Work regulations, Awards, and Industrial Relations requirements.
- Hands-on experience supporting a blue-collar workforce, with a deep understanding of the challenges and nuances of operational HR in Fulfilment Centres or similar settings.
- Strong analytical skills with a track record of gathering, interpreting, and actioning HR metrics to drive workforce improvement.
- Exceptional leadership capabilities, with demonstrated success in mentoring and developing teams in an operational context.
- Highly organised, with excellent communication skills and a solution-focused approach to tackling HR and workforce challenges.
Responsibilities:
- Drive compliance and employment relations, ensuring adherence to Fair Work regulations, interpreting Awards, and managing relationships with external stakeholders, including Unions.
- Be a hands-on HR leader, partnering closely with frontline leaders and employees in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Analyse key people metrics (e.g., turnover, retention) and provide actionable insights to improve workforce trends and support business objectives.
- Streamline and optimise onboarding, performance reviews, and training initiatives to enhance the employee experience, efficiency, and compliance.
- Build trust and credibility by being visible and approachable on-site, addressing the unique challenges of a blue-collar workforce.
- Lead and mentor a team of People Operations professionals, ensuring consistent and impactful HR support across all sites.
- Foster a high-performing, engaged culture by driving team collaboration and empowering leaders on-site.
- Support workforce planning, attraction strategies, and employee retention through innovative and practical programs tailored to an operational setting.
