Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

CSR are looking for a strategic and innovative National Inventory Manager to lead the development and execution of industry-leading inventory practices across CSR operations for a fixed term contract (12 - 18 months). With a focus on customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and profitability, you’ll play a critical role in shaping our supply chain excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Strategic Leadership: Champion consistent, best-practice inventory policies, processes, and standards across the organization.
  • Innovative Solutions: Drive thought leadership and implement creative inventory management solutions to deliver measurable value.
  • Collaborative Partnerships: Partner with Planning, Marketing, Finance, Sales, and Supply Chain teams to optimize inventory thresholds, streamline SKU management, and balance stock across the network. Be the key conduit between Central Planning and Warehouse Operations to resolve and implement best practice for interrelated inventory issues.
  • Operational Efficiency: Use data-driven insights to identify and address root causes of inventory challenges, optimize storage, and reduce waste.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Generate, analyse and present actionable reports and insights on inventory movements and performance metrics to drive outcomes with senior leadership and operational teams.
  • WMS Expertise: Leverage WMS and SAP systems to enhance inventory visibility, education, and operational outcomes.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and coach teams across CSR Logistics to build internal capability and foster a high-performance culture
  • Compliance and Accuracy: Oversee robust stock control processes, including cycle counts and stocktakes, to ensure accuracy and efficiency targets are met.
  • SLOBE Reduction: Develop strategies to minimize and expedite the removal of slow, obsolete and excess inventory.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

  • 10+ years of senior inventory management experience across multiple sites.
  • Proficiency in SAP and WMS, with a proven track record of using these systems to drive outcomes.
  • Expertise in Lean principles, with a history of reducing waste and optimizing processes.
  • Strong commercial acumen, analytical skills, and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Exceptional ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders in complex, matrixed environments.
  • A strategic mindset combined with a hands-on approach to execution.
  • Outstanding leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
  • A commitment to safety, compliance, and sustainability in all operations.
