What’s on offer?
We are looking to fill the position of a National Laboratory Manager for our Fulton Hogan Infrastructure Services (FHIS) business – base location will be negotiable. Reporting directly to the General Manager – Technical, you will be responsible for standardising safety and operational practices of all FHIS laboratories across Australia, enhancing our operational excellence by adopting a unified approach.
You will ensure that we develop, implement and maintain a growth strategy for our testing services across Australia.
Partnering up with key stakeholders within FHIS operations, you will build FH laboratory excellence and train and upskill staff to effectively deliver results and solutions to FHIS manufacturing and operations. This position is a reflection of our commitment to supporting our regional businesses in their growth and diversification.
Some of your key responsibilities will be:
- Working with the Regional Technical Managers and Lab Managers to ensure safe, efficient, and effective processing of all testing workloads.
- Ensure and manage efficiency by creating key metrics and developing a national laboratory dashboard.
- Participate in industry research and development, and training and development of laboratory testers across all regions.
- Maintaining and communicating the National Laboratory Manual
- Chairing a regular Laboratory Managers meeting to capture and address the issues and requirements of the regions.
- Assisting in growing and maintaining our existing NATA accreditation across Australia.

This, in conjunction with your ability to raise awareness, influence change, lead by example, and develop collaboration and cooperation across the organisation will be pivotal for effective performance.
