PURPOSE OF ROLE

To support in the day-to-day administration of the mens & womens National Leagues in the domestic game in Wales. The successful candidate would be part of the Domestic Football Department and part of the unit responsible for overseeing the operational delivery of mens and womens National Leagues which include:

  • Cymru Leagues
  • Adran Leagues
  • National Academi Leagues
  • Adran Under 19s Leagues
  • Reserve Leagues
  • Youth Leagues
  • Futsal League

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY/RESPONSIBILITY

The FAW is looking to recruit a National Leagues Operations Executive to support in the administration of National Leagues in the mens and womens domestic game in Wales.

  • Responsible for the day-to-day administration of all mens and womens National League competitions as required.
  • Involved in the management of the fixture programmes for all mens and womens National League competitions.
  • Responsible for regular communication with all mens and womens National Leagues Clubs from an administrative point of view; providing advice, support and guidance where necessary including attending bi-monthly League Meetings as required by the Manager.
  • Support the pre and post-match processes of all National Leagues matches as necessary.
  • To manage the entry form procedure for all National Leagues competitions.
  • To ensure that all match documentation are submitted on time by Clubs and match officials, using the FAW COMET system.
  • To produce all Disciplinary related documentation for alleged rule breaches in all National Leagues.
  • To review and approve all friendly and tournament sanctions under the jurisdiction of the FAW.
  • To support in the delivery of match day operations alongside other staff in the Domestic Football Department.
  • To support in the administration of Board meetings as needed.
  • Provide support in reviewing and developing operational documents, including competition rules, manuals and handbooks.
  • Work alongside internal department on cross-team projects to enhance the delivery of all mens and womens National Leagues.
  • Provide general support to all National Leagues operations activities, projects and initiatives.
  • To assist the Domestic Football Department with any other function as required by the Manager, which will include attending some matches on weekends.
  • To comply with the FAW’s Safeguarding Policies, Practices & Procedures
  • To ensure compliance with the FAW’s Safeguarding Policies, Practices & Procedures throughout the domestic leagues.

The successful candidate will also be heavily involved in the organisation, match operations and successful delivery of the semi-final and finals of all competitions.

ROLE SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Attention to detail - the ability to produce work that is accurate, properly processed and compliant with rules and procedures
  • Experience and confidence to use internal computer systems (FAW Comet System)
  • Experience of Microsoft applications, for example Word, Excel and Outlook are essential
  • Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to learn.
    The successful candidate will be subject to a Basic DBS check and two professional/personal references.
