Responsibilities:

ABOUT YOUR NEW ROLE

As the National Manager – Product you will lead our team of Product managers to ensure Passenger Vehicles have a market and customer orientated model range that supports our market share goals. In this role you will report to the Head of Marketing and Product and be based in Zetland head office along with other Volkswagen Group Australia brands.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the development of the Passenger cars product marketing strategy and detailed model life cycle planning
  • Supervise the production of proposals for special or limited-edition models, product and price realignments
  • Factory negotiation of product and price positioning along with managing the systems and vehicle specifications within market requirements
  • Support the development of product training programs and act as the internal product champion for PV VGA on all models, technology, and specifications
  • Work with Sales and Marketing teams, on go to market strategies for model range to ensure model success
  • Lead and develop growth plans across all
  • Lead VW PV electric vehicle implementation and future NVES strategies
  • Provide leadership, guidance and coaching to all departmental employees

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following:

  • Marketing qualification or similar along with extensive experience within product and/or marketing
  • In depth knowledge of the australia automotive market ideally within passenger cars
  • Sound knowledge of the regulatory environment and its operational implications
  • Sound knowledge of the product development process (PEP) as well as Price Application and Realignment processes
  • Strong coaching and leadership skills
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Practical problem solving skills with an operational focus
  • High attention to detail and time management skill
