Description:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive national sales strategy to achieve revenue and market share goals
- Lead, mentor, and manage the national sales team, ensuring alignment with company objectives and fostering a high-performance culture.
- Serve as the face of the sales force, effectively communicating the company’s vision and offerings to clients and stakeholders.
- Manage key strategic relationships, including but not limited to national distribution partners, healthcare providers, and DTC channels.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships and distribution channels.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform sales strategies and product positioning.
- Collaborate with marketing, product development, and operations teams to ensure product offerings meet market demand.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and industry stakeholders.
- Monitor sales performance metrics and adjust strategies as necessary to meet targets.
- Apply a data-driven approach to manage performance and inspire the team to achieve their goals.
- Conduct regular training and development sessions for the sales team to enhance sales skills.
- Prepare and present sales forecasts, budgets, and reports to senior management.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and ensure compliance in all sales activities.
- Design and implement optimal sales force territories to ensure appropriate customer coverage and support.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in the following:
- Proven sales leadership role within the nutraceutical industry or a similar sector.
- Strong track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Experience in creating sales team compensation plans balancing results, activity, and fairness.
- In-depth knowledge of the nutraceutical market, including trends, regulations, and consumer preferences.
- Managing a diverse remote team effectively.
- Experience across multiple channels, including but not limited to DTC, healthcare providers, and national distributors.
- Launching new products in the nutraceutical space preferred.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
- Established relationships with key industry players and distribution networks preferred.
- Familiarity with digital marketing strategies and their application in sales preferred.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
- Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
