NATURAL ADABAS DEVELOPER REQUIRED IN ROSEBANK, JOHANNESBURG.
We are seeking a talented and experienced Natural ADABAS Developer to join our dynamic team in Rosebank.
The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of hands-on experience in developing and maintaining applications using Natural and ADABAS technologies.
You will play a critical role in delivering high-quality software solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience as a Natural ADABAS Developer in a corporate environment.
- Strong proficiency in Natural programming, ADABAS database management, and related development tools.
- Experience with the design and implementation of data models and database structures.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Development experience in web-based technologies (e.g. HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and understanding of modern programming principles is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and enhance applications using Natural programming language and ADABAS database systems.
- Collaborate with business analysts and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Design and implement efficient database structures and queries within the ADABAS database.
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior developers and team members.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure best practices and coding standards are followed.
- Collaborate with DevOps to ensure smooth deployment and integration of applications.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends related to Natural ADABAS and make recommendations for improvements.
