Description:

To qualify for this position, applicants must document on the application that they possess ALL of the following:

  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Knowledge of state/federal grant programs and compliance.
  • Knowledge of agriculture and agribusiness.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to exercise judgement and discretion in applying and interpreting policies and procedures.
  • Ability to advise potential applicants and awardees of protocols and procedures for participation in the RFSI program.
  • Ability to research and resolve problems and follow through on projects with minimum direction.
  • Ability to work with a high-level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with NC RFSI team members, officials, and the public.
  • Ability to advise, educate, solicit proposals, and encourage farmers and agribusinesses applying for RFSI grants to strengthen the middle-of-the-supply-chain.
  • Ability to independently work and prioritize tasks.

Management Preferences:

  • Knowledge of middle-of-the-supply-chain activities.

YOU MAY QUALIFY BY AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE, EITHER THROUGH YEARS OF EDUCATION OR YEARS OF DIRECTLY RELATED EXPERIENCE, OR A COMBINATION OF BOTH.

Bachelors degree from an appropriately accredited institution; or an equivalent combination of education and experience in program outreach and communication.
