PURPOSE OF THE NDIS ACCESS AND INTAKE ANALYST
The NDIS Access and Intake Analyst takes a leading role in coordinating and driving the planning process and funding allocations. The role works in collaboration with the relevant General Manager Operations and works closely with a team of Service Managers.
The aim of this critical role is to ensure the people we support receive sufficient funding to meet their needs and achieve their goals, ensuring all relevant agreements are accurate and entered into the client management system, enabling billing to occur in a timely manner.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
For both NDIS and DSOA participants, utilizing the various systems and processes – including NDIS funding Portal for setting up and managing service bookings, visicase management
- Maintain the centralized data set of people we support, existing funding and service types, with service agreement dates.
- Identify and escalate any issues relating to funding – this includes checking the NDIS portal regarding funding as compared to the NDIS plan/ Statement of service and roster of care.
- Under the direction of the relevant General Manager, consult with the relevant service Manager to support the funding planning process for our participants, to receive the necessary level of funding, to be well supported and meet their goals.
- Collaborate with front line teams and support coordinators to gather sufficient evidence for funding applications.
- Proactively support the ‘My planning’ process by documenting information that could inform new/proposed Statement Of Service (SOS) or Roster of Care (ROCs) for the relevant Service manager to review.
- Draft and finalise the Statement of Service or ISPs for DSOA participants and prepare the Service agreement for each participant and forward on to relevant service manager and General Manager for final approval and distribution to plan nominees.
- Maintain and update all relevant agreements, as required, including the completion and filing of the signed documentation for all the participants, their funding, funding renewal dates, and any expiring agreements.
- Work collaboratively with the Sales team to ensure all new prospects are engaged and coordinate the transition process with the front-line management team, and communicate potential new vacancies as they arise.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:
- Demonstrated experience in interpreting the NDIS price guide, statutory requirements, planning decisions, and reasonable and necessary scope of plan funding.
- Evidence of highly developed financial acumen as well as strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven experience working autonomously to prioritise work, meet conflicting deadlines and engage collaboratively with stakeholders to support shared positive outcomes for clients.
- Strategic skills adaptable to working in a changing environment.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to work through challenges to get answers in a timely manner.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Experience working under pressure managing competing priorities.
- Advanced interpersonal communication skills and experience in the preparation of written and verbal reports.
- Competence in Microsoft office products including Excel.
- Demonstrated experience in a client relationship role where developing, building, and maintaining relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to use Proda portal, PACE system and any other relevant NDIS systems.
- Understanding of the Roster of Care process to support GMs.
- Understanding of Visicase (highly regarded)
- Understanding of the client intake process.
