The role:
In this role, you will be responsible for performing Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and inspections to ensure compliance with codes and client requirements. Your work will span both the construction/fabrication phase and during the operation of industrial plants, ensuring the integrity and safety of critical assets.
You will not only play a key role in selecting the appropriate NDT techniques and developing procedures that provide reliable results to inform engineering decision-making but also:
- Conduct NDT and inspections following company procedures, codes, standards, and written work instructions.
- Prepare samples and clean items to be tested.
- Record the results of inspections and prepare technical reports to a high standard
- Communicate and liaise work scopes and results with clients
- Perform regular cleaning, calibration and maintenance of test equipment
- Implement company HSE policies and procedures and work to improve HSE culture continuously
- Ensure all safety systems are adhered to and that work is carried out per SRG systems.
ABOUT YOU
We’re looking for an experienced NDT Technician with the below certifications and requirements:
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 3 years’ NDT experience in a similar industry with exposure to heavy industrial plants
- At least 5 years’ experience with UT Level II
- Familiarity with the limitations of each method and ability to perform field examinations
- Experience in analysing data and preparing reports
- A valid driver’s licence
- Computer literate and good report-writing skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Confidence working at heights and in confined spaces
- Willing to travel from time to time as required
