DESCRIPTION

This will be following Hybrid work model and location can be flexible based on candidate location (preferred Singapore/ Malaysia/ Philippines)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental management, Health and Safety, Environmental Engineering, Science, Law, or other aligned science or engineering discipline (Electrical preferred), master’s degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in support and management of HSE compliance.
  • Experience working across multiple sites preferred. Direct experience with regulatory agency negotiations. Knowledge and experience with ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 45001 Management Systems, and the 50001 Energy Management System Standards and how to leverage conformance in support of regulatory compliance.
  • Fulfil the electrical safety coordinator role for the region –NESEA
  • Provide PG projects HSE support with some travel across projects in NESEA
  • Support with NESEA PG Bids and Tenders
  • Support with rollout of Electrical Safety Program in NESEA including Electrical Safety Scorecard, PPE &Tooling Audits, Electrical Safety Training
  • Support data Centre HSE metrics and reporting
  • Lead Electrical incident investigations in region if APAC PG Lead is unable to attend site

Responsibilities:

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT IN THE FOLLOWING WAYS:

  • Leads efforts to track requirements and ensure that sites in the region comply with applicable health, safety, environment, and sustainability (HSE) legal and regulatory obligations through mitigation of business continuity risk, support for the company’s financial and business interests and protection of the company’s overall reputation.
  • Supports site health, safety, environment, and sustainability compliance to locally applicable legal obligations and develop policies, procedures, training, and provide guidance on matters within the regions.
  • Supports regional sites with the investigation of reportable spills or notice of violations in line with the law department recommendations, and share lessons learned with regional and global health, safety and environmental teams.
  • Serves as subject matter expert for local and regional health, safety and environmental laws and regulations.
  • Represents Cummins interests with applicable regulatory agencies regarding health, safety and environmental compliance matters.
  • Collaborates with the global health, safety and environmental teams including participation in compliance initiatives.
  • Develops regional tactical objectives for health, safety and environmental regulatory compliance in line with global strategy based on regional significant applicable legislation, notice of violations, legal compliance audit, corrective action requests and data analysis.
  • Supports and coaches stakeholders on the effective use of Cummins approved systems for health, safety and environmental corrective action requests and preventive action requests.
  • Analyzes regional health, safety and environmental legal compliance data and communicates to the appropriate areas.
  • Reviews and acts on regional health, safety and environmental regulatory communications received as per Corporate regulatory and due diligence policies.
    Leads regional health, safety and environmental contract renewals required by law.

  • Health, Safety and Environment Management Systems - Interprets and applies international standards through practical application within the operating environment to achieve and maintain an effective management system and external certification.
  • Management of Health, Safety and Environmental Regulatory Compliance - Identifies, interprets and manages legal and other requirements by implementing controls, monitoring and reporting on operational performance to ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental related regulations and standards
