Description:
NEIGHBOURHOOD ASSISTANT
Location: West Dorset
Salary: £28,444 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week
Closing Date: {Expiry Date}
If you love variety at work why not consider becoming a Neighbourhood Assistant; you’ll be providing essential support to the neighbourhood team in West Dorset working alongside other neighbourhood assistants, being supported by a Senior Neighbourhood Officer.
You’ll be working in a fast-paced environment providing administrative support to the neighbourhood officers and dealing with a variety of customer queries. You will manage the mutual exchange process, tenancy changes and updating tenancy records alongside other tenancy queries, both by phone and email.
You won’t always be at your desk; you may be out and about completing mutual exchange visits and supporting with neighbourhood inspections as required in West Dorset, so there’s a real mix of housing management exposure and an opportunity to further your current housing knowledge.
There’ll be elements of administrative tasks such as letter writing, mail merges, keeping records up to date and electronic filing.
You’ll have a background working in housing management, with experience in communicating with customers about an array of tenancy enquiries. You’ll be resilient and able to deliver messages in a clear way to our customers.
Your attention to detail will ensure the electronic filing is up to date and accurate processing is taking place.
You’ll need to have a full UK driving licence so you can get out and about on visits and access to a vehicle to do so.
We invest in our colleagues because we know if they have a better day at work, the service our customers receive will be better. The Aster Offer is our offer to our colleagues to ensure they have a great day at work and includes things like:
- Flexible working – whilst some roles need to be carried out in a specific place at a specific time, where possible we encourage our colleagues to work to their own schedule at a location that suits them, their team and our business’ needs
- A focus on colleague wellbeing – workshops, an employee assistance programme offering counselling and support, mental health training and a health cash plan
- We invest in colleagues’ careers and development through our leader and colleague development frameworks
- Defined Contribution Pension and attached life assurance
- Volunteering hours available to all colleagues to enable them to give back
- Savings at cinemas, gyms, holidays, days out, various shops and eateries and lots more
- Enhanced leave
- We celebrate colleagues who go above and beyond with a range of personalised recognition initiatives
