NEIGHBOURHOOD CENTRE COORDINATOR

Council is seeking to appoint a maximum term full time Neighbourhood Centre Coordinator, to contribute to Council’s success.

This position is funded by the Department of Treaty, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships, Communities and the Arts and is a maximum term opportunity, with a projected end date of September 2028.

• Full Time, 9-day fortnight
• Contribute to positive change in your community
• Located at the Phillip Street Communities and Families Precinct

The purpose of this position is to provide high-level coordination, administration and engagement with the community to deliver neighbourhood centre programs, activities, events and community led initiatives that strengthen community. This position will participate, lead, and support a strategic program of work focused on partnerships and work collaboratively with the community, to realise the vison of strong engaged and vibrant communities. This position will foster positive and meaningful relationships with community, stakeholders and organisations to work collaboratively across the region.

Your role will include:

• A high level of engagement with the community service sector, providing in-depth knowledge of the services available in our region
• Provision of referrals to members of the community seeking assistance
• Planning and delivery of programs that build community capacity
