Our Estate Management Team provides an essential service throughout the County for nine and half thousand tenants across more than seven hundred housing estates.
The team is responsible for being visible and proactive in our housing estates to ensure that our tenants/ residents live and work in clean, safe and well-maintained environments. We want our estates to be somewhere where our residents/ tenants are proud to be part of. Your role will involve co-ordinating the work of the newly established handyperson scheme, delivering our capital programme for environmental works projects and deal with litigation claims.
Our ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, be organised and take pride in improving or enhancing our housing estates by working with officers to identify schemes and ensuring that we are not exposed to financial risks from claims. Duties will include monitoring and allocating the work of the handyperson, work in partnership with our design team to deliver environmental schemes and co-ordinate our response to our litigation claims.
You will also need:
- Some legal and technical understanding of Housing Services;
- A positive attitude and the willingness to learn new skills;
- Willingness to help others in a non-judgemental way and show empathy;
- The ability to understand data and write reports that can be presented to senior officers and Members; and
- Flexibility and the willingness to assist with other housing requirements.
