Surgery Women’s and Children’s - Neonatal Unit
Band 6 - Clinical Nurse Educator- 37.5hrs PERMANENT
An exciting opportunity has arisen on our neonatal unit to join the education team as a Band 6 Clinical Educator.
We are looking for an experienced neonatal nurse to join our innovative, compassionate and family focused neonatal team. You will have significant experience in neonatal acute nursing and have a willingness to undertake further academic study to gain a PG Cert in Education. You will also have experience of working as a mentor and practice assessor.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to drive service improvements and work effectively as part of the multi-disciplinary team

To support and facilitate staff in clinical areas to identify opportunities for maintaining and improving standards of patient care.
In liaison with the nursing leadership and professional development team promote a quality service using research and evidence-based practice including the setting, monitoring and auditing of clinical standards.
Provide education and training to multidisciplinary team staff and assist in the delivery of training programmes for nurses to expand their skills.
Develop guidelines and implement developments
Act a resource for all disciplines of staff including pre-registration students
The neonatal unit at Russell’s Hall Hospital comprises of 3 intensive care, 2 high dependency, 13 special care and 4 transitional care cots.
