Job Description
We are looking for a .NET Developer for a 6 month+ contract opportunity that is onsite in Little Rock, AR. The main focus for this position will be to modernize VB6 Windows forms-based applications to web-based, HTMLS applications using MVC Technology and to ensure security, compliance, accessibility and compatibility with current technology. The client has a variety of custom, aging applications written in older, unsupported technologies. These are primarily VB6 Windows forms-based applications or desktop applications. The client is modernizing all custom development by transitioning to web-based, HTMLS applications using MVC Technology. The client is looking for a .Net Developer for modernizing these applications to ensure security, compliance, accessibility and compatibility with current technology.
What You’ll Do
Develop complex solutions using both out of the box features as well as custom development for .Net solutions and image capture
Maintain and enhance the payment process for Operations in order to generate files to apply payments to the taxpayers accounts in AIRS
Maintain and develop packages to extract data elements into constructed data layouts
Maintain complicated applications supported by Applications Development: Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), Ad Valorem and Racing License Application
Assist state employees with .Net solutions and mentors on best practices
