Description:
We are in the search for a skilled NetOps Engineer to be a part of our dynamic team in the Financial Services industry. The role will be based in BENSALEM, Pennsylvania, United States. As a NetOps Engineer, you will be critical in maintaining and enhancing the security of our network systems.
Responsibilities:
- Actively support diverse project implementations and ensure smooth handovers to different teams.
- Develop and maintain documentation and diagrams for projects, network security devices, services, and implementations.
- Oversee our network security infrastructure, including firewalls, Network Access Control (NAC), Intrusion Prevention System (IPS), and other network-based security systems.
- Regularly update network security systems with necessary software and firmware.
- Audit network security devices for compliance with standards and implement necessary remediation measures.
- Respond to requests from other teams and business units effectively.
- Analyze, diagnose, and resolve network security issues while documenting the root cause and executing corrective actions.
- Collaborate with vendors for problem escalation and resolution.
- Provide secondary support for network security administrative functions.
- Assist with vulnerability remediation and perform security hardening of network security systems.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose problems related to TCP/IP, certificates, Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP), security, and take corrective action.
- Work with third-party vendors to expedite resolution and provide necessary hardware support in collaboration with various groups.
- Develop a working knowledge of business aspects and interface effectively with all user areas.
- Research, plan, and implement network and security solutions and changes.
- Design and implement processes to ensure high availability of all systems and take control of production problems, driving them to resolution.
- Proficiency in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP)
- Experience with Checkpoint
- Familiarity with Cisco ASA
- Expertise in handling Cisco Routers
- Proficiency in Cisco Technologies
- Experience in AB Testing
- Knowledge of Computer Hardware
- Proficiency in Configuration Management
- Experience in managing Datacenter
- Knowledge in Deployments within the Financial Services industry
- Prior experience as a NetOps Engineer is a plus.
