Description:
1 FTE
One of a network of provincial community health centres, the NorWest Community Health Centres, is a community based, non-profit organization funded by Ontario Health, emphasizing access to primary health care and prevention programs and services.
We are currently seeking a 1 FTE Network Administrator, who as a valued member of the organization will be responsible for the provision of network support to all NorWest Community Health Centres’ sites, including the development, implementation and maintenance of all server applications on the NorWest CHC network. This work includes assisting users in troubleshooting computer applications; developing and maintaining software applications; maintaining and upgrading hardware and software to reflect advances in technology and changing organizational needs; and managing the Local Area Network (LAN).

Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline. (i.e. Computer Science or related field)
- Three or more years related networking experience preferably in a health care setting.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize, to be flexible, and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge and experience with switching, routing, network protocols and firewall technologies.
- Experience with managing network security.
- Proficiency in the use of computer networks and database programs.
- Monitor network traffic and experience with security monitoring software.
- Attention to principles of risk management and adherence to privacy.
- Experience assessing, developing plans and training end users who have a range of skill levels.
- Experience in data quality management.
- Experience managing Microsoft Office 365.
- Valid driver’s license is required.
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel to sites.
