Description:
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Network Administrator or similar role, including deployment, configuration and troubleshooting network appliances and hardware, with a focus on Fortinet products.
- Strong knowledge of network technologies including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN and routing protocols
- Strong understanding of Layer 2 protocols such as LACP, STP, MCLAG, etc.
- Experience with network protocols, routing, and switching.
- Proficiency in network hardware tools such as Fortinet, HPE, Aruba, Cisco and/or Juniper.
- Certification in CompTIA Network+ Certification
- Certification Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and problem solve
Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and maintain Fortinet network/security appliances and hardware including FortiManager, Fortigate firewalls, FortiAP, policy management, and troubleshooting
- Monitor and troubleshoot network performance to ensure minimal downtime and resilient to potential cyber security threats
- Implement security protocols such as firewalls, access controls, and encryption.
- Document network configurations and update system documentation regularly.
- Collaborate with IT teams to optimize network architecture for scalability.
- Develop and maintain solutions for automatic installation and configuration of development and production infrastructure
- Perform hardware and software system upgrades, patches and maintenance
- Prepare flow diagram, use case, instructional, and test documentation and guides
- Support identification of automation and process improvements
- Manage IT support tickets
- Coordinate with reporting manager, user functional communities, team members on task priorities and initiatives
- Conduct meetings, user training sessions and testing with internal and external clients
- Stay current with the latest network security trends, technologies and industry best practices
