Summary
The IT company Andersen invites an experienced Network Architect to join its team for working with a company from UAE.
The customer is a leading geospatial intelligence and artificial intelligence company based in Abu Dhabi, UAE that provides advanced solutions in geospatial mapping, data analytics, and predictive analytics. It offers a wide range of services, including data collection and processing, as well as the integration of artificial intelligence for various sectors such as defense, environment, energy, smart cities, and transportation.
The project is to work on network architecture of several client projects.
The job requires working at the customer’s office in Abu Dhabi.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing comprehensive network architecture to support AI, data, and software engineering requirements.
• Creating and maintaining network diagrams and documentation for Azure cloud environments, private clouds, VMware infrastructure, datacenters, bare-metal devices, Docker, and AKS.
• Developing and implementing strategies for network integration, optimization, and security, focusing on AI and data-intensive applications.
• Deploying, configuring, and maintaining network hardware and software.
• Managing and optimizing Azure cloud network resources, including virtual networks, VPNs, and ExpressRoute.
• Overseeing the implementation and management of private cloud and VMware environments.
• Ensuring efficient operation of datacenter networks and bare-metal devices, including switches, routers, and firewalls.
• Implementing and managing containerized applications using Docker and orchestrating them with AKS.
• Monitoring network performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing improvements.
• Ensuring network security.
• Conducting regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and mitigate risks for AI and data applications.
• Providing expert-level support for network-related issues and incidents.
• Staying current with industry trends and advancements in network technology, focusing on AI and data-driven technologies.
• Creating and maintaining detailed network documentation, including configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Developing and delivering training materials to educate staff on network architecture and best practices.

Requirements

• Experience in network architecture and design for 10+ years.
• Proven hands-on experience with Azure cloud environments, private clouds, VMware, datacenters, bare-metal network devices, Docker, and AKS.
• Proficiency in designing and managing complex network architectures.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, and switching.
• Experience with network security practices and technologies.
• Familiarity with Docker containerization and AKS orchestration.
• Familiarity with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
• Understanding of network monitoring and management tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate.

Desired skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
