This Network Capability Manager will report to the Head of Technology structure)) and will work within the Strategy Regulation and Support Services based in our Ipswich, Fore Hamlet office. You will be a permanent employee.
You will attract a salary of £100,000.00 and a bonus of 10%. This role can also offer blended working after probationary period (6 months) - 3 days in the office and 2 remote

QUALIFICATIONS:

You will have experience managing Communication Network capability and should hold a degree or equivalent industry qualifications/experience. Also, you will demonstrate experience in the following areas:
Degree in IT or Electrical field or equivalent experience.
Technical Proficiency: knowledge of communications networking:
Telecommunications, DWDM, Optical Transport Networks, SDH
IP network Design, LAN and WAN technologies
Familiarity with on-prem and cloud technologies.
Experience managing technical teams and projects you will mentor, inspire, and lead a team towards achieving strategic goals.
Clearly convey complex IT/OT strategies and systems to a non-technical audience.
Develop strategic plans for infrastructure development that align with our goals.
Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the capability to anticipate potential issues and implement solutions.
Budget Management: Experience in budget management and resource allocation to maximise effectiveness of technology investments.
Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of the regulatory environment impacting OT infrastructure, with an emphasis on compliance and cyber security.

Responsibilities:

You will define and deliver the UKPN Communication Network Strategy. They are accountable for the performance, reliability, and resilience of Corporate and OT networks to meet our needs.
You will manage a team of three network professionals who will design, implement, and support our communication networks in the delivery of this network strategy and provide technical assurance to communication network products and services provided by third party service providers.
