ConnectSydney, a joint venture of ServiceStream, Boral, and Johnson Controls, in partnership with Transport for NSW, is entrusted with the management of the Harbour Zone. We have an opportunity available for a Network Delivery Manager to join us! The position will be based out of our office in Rockdale, NSW. This is a long-term project with the potential to extend, and you have the opportunity to work across a diverse range of sites including the most iconic structures in Sydney.

About The Role
In this critical senior role, you will be responsible for the operational delivery in the field of all aspects of our scope relating to the Sydney Road Assets Performance (SRAP) Contract, Harbour Zone. You will monitor, manage, and direct maintenance and construction work in accordance with the contract scope and performance requirements, and offer advice and support to achieve successful contract outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise Daily Operations: Oversee the on-site work of team leads, service workers, sub-contractors, and apprentices, ensuring adherence to procedures and quality standards.
  • Develop and Implement Programmes: Create and execute short and medium-term operational programmes set by service project managers, monitoring construction progress and reporting outcomes.
  • Ensure Quality Assurance: Conduct inspections of field services and sub-contractors’ work to ensure compliance with documented procedures and quality standards.
  • Manage Documentation: Compile and provide quality assurance and operational documents to support management’s decision-making.
  • Control Resources: Monitor and manage the use of materials and equipment to reduce waste and authorise the procurement of supplies within budget parameters.
  • Ensure Health and Safety Compliance: Perform regular site inspections to ensure adherence to health and safety standards, addressing risks to staff as needed.
  • Develop Team Members: Provide training, feedback, and support to team members, as well and as contributing to performance reviews.
  • Project Specific Responsibilities: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and review the Asset Services Plan, contribute to network improvement strategies, and provide input for progress reports. Provide support for procurement management, and drive performance through efficient construction processes.

About You

Our ideal candidates will have:

  • Recognised qualification in trade or engineering.
  • Considerable experience of at least 8 years in commercial services and delivery management, ideally within construction or similar industry.
  • An absolute commitment to work safety, comply with all site safety standards.
  • Strong financial acumen to ensure the delivery of profitable results to ConnectSydney, customers & stakeholders.
  • Ability to build and maintain trusting and enduring relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
  • Collaborative working style to facilitate mutually beneficial outcomes in key project and commercial decisions.
