POSITION SUMMARY
Responsibilities will include configuring and optimizing network hardware and software, ensuring network security, and troubleshooting connectivity issues to support seamless communication and data exchange. Additionally, will collaborate with the IT team, implement cybersecurity measures, and stay updated on emerging technologies to enhance the reliability and efficiency of our network operations within the industry.
Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Perform tactical duties related to operations including but not limited to:
- Supporting networks across all sites, routing, switching and wireless.
- Assist in designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks
- Installing, configuring and supporting network equipment including routers, switches, security appliances and WAN, DNS and DHCP
- Procuring network equipment and managing subcontractors involved with network installation
- Configuring firewalls, routing and switching to maximize network efficiency and security
- Maximizing network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting
- Arranging scheduled upgrades
- Investigating faults in the network, working with team, plan and/or implement to resolve faults
- Updating network equipment to the latest firmware releases, keeping systems up to date with supportable and stable releases.
- Reporting network status, stability and treads to key stakeholders
- Other duties and tasks, as well as involvement with other IT projects, as required and assigned
