Network Engineer
Would you like a challenge to apply your skills and experience in a global corporate network environment? As a Network Engineer in FLSmidth, you will be part of the Global Infrastructure Architecture and Standards team focusing on supporting the digital initiatives and requirements from the business by building, maintaining and improving the global Infrastructure.
About The Team
The team is placed in Copenhagen and in Chennai (India), and takes care of the network in our HQ and the network on all our 80+ locations worldwide. The team also manages networks in our global datacenters, which are physically located in Copenhagen along with several Cloud datacenters from different vendors. In this role you’ll be working with security (firewall solutions), handling level 3 operational support when needed and working with the Network Architect to design solutions and Network architecture (eg. SD-WAN, SD-A). You’ll be managing projects and work dedicated with the network operations team based in Chennai to help us deliver professional IT service, worldwide.
More About You
Your educational background is secondary to your practical experience. Your track record reflects experience from similar positions in other companies, in which you have acquired extensive, hands-on, experience working with Infrastructure in a global perspective.
You have a structured approach in your work, and experience creating project plans and working with the team to get things done and deliver on time. You are a creative problem-solver and a skilled communicator with fluent English, able to engage easily with the team and the business around the globe. You’ll be traveling a bit in this role but no more than 20 days per year.

You have in-depth knowledge of and practical experience with the following:

• Palo Alto Firewalls – configuration and management
• Strata Cloud Manager
• Knowledge on SASE and PRISMA Access
• General Routing, especially BGP
• Knowledge DNS
• LAN and campus environments
• Network segmentation
• Cisco ISE
• Cisco wireless solutions

Knowledge on network automation is a plus, but not a must. There will be training on the job.
