Network Engineer

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science/Information Technology/Engineering or relevant field
• At least 3-5 years of experience in a technical support environment working with various network and security products
• Network or Security certifications (CCNA, CCNP, Fortinet or similar) is an advantage
• Good understanding of network system, network architecture, routing, switching, firewall, wireless controllers/access points
• Good communication skills, system thinking and systematic problem-solving skills
• Experience on installation, configuration and troubleshooting of routers, wireless controllers/access points, switches, DHCP servers and firewalls
• Ability to work in flexible, and standby role for after office hours support on monthly rotational basis

• Design, implement, monitor and manage enterprise LAN / WAN
• Perform day two maintenance and troubleshooting
• Maintain project documentation
• Provide consultation on network enhancements
• Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, wireless controllers/access points, firewalls, VPN, QoS, DHCP) for Project and Maintenance support to customers
• Performing RMA for hardware failures and replacement in production environment
• Troubleshoot production issues and network/security problems to fix any infra related issues and work with principal vendors and customer to provide the resolution within the proposed timelines
• Perform IOS upgrades and patches to fix software and ensure that the customer environment is bug/vulnerable free by keeping system with up-to-date software
• Able to follow and meet customer SLA for all the incidents and requests / responsible for the service delivery
• Responsible for opening and closing of support tickets when applicable and providing timely updates to helpdesk personnel and customer for support cases that has been allocated
