    Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is looking for Network Engineer to join the Network team in Te Tai Matihiko - Digital Solutions on a permanent, full-time basis.
    The role of the Network Engineer is to maintain and support the University’s wireless and data network infrastructure and to pro-actively monitor on-line network management and monitoring tools and applications. This includes planning, building, testing, and installing any required network upgrades, reconfigurations or new builds.

Ō PŪMANAWA - ABOUT YOU

We are looking for a Network Engineer with extensive experience in the support of a medium to large scale service provider environment supporting 20,000+ network attached devices and 24/7 service availability. The candidate should have experience across a wide range of technologies with in-depth technical knowledge while at the same time understand the bigger picture with a strong customer focussed work ethic.

Key requirements:

  • Strong background in the support and troubleshooting medium to large scale Cisco routed and switched networks including wireless technologies.
  • Even though you are technical well versed in multiple fields, you like to keep on learning and expanding your technical knowledge.
  • You are a team player and like to share knowledge.
  • Experience with Agile Methodology.
