Description:

Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust provides health and social care services in acute and primary care settings, community hospitals, and care centres, through the 11,000 employed staff. The Trust spans over two counties of North Tyneside and Northumberland, and has a main WAN MPLS between the main hospitals in those regions.
Northumbria Digital Services team provide, IT services to all of the Trusts directorates, departments and subsidiaries and this role is to support the team to ensure the campus LAN, WAN and Wifi services are correctly designed, implemented, secured and supported to match the digital delivery needs and ambitions of the Trusts digital strategy
To provide Management and support for the Trust’s wide and Local Area Networks in conjunction with the Network Infrastructure Manager.
Provide infrastructure support to ensure high availability, security and usability of the network that is transparent to users.
Work closely with the Network infrastructure engineers and associates to ensure any routine work is up to standard with quality assurance checks.2nd line escalation for problems that network engineers and associates need assistance with.
We manage three major locality hospitals at North Tyneside, Wansbeck and Hexham, plus a number of smaller community hospitals and clinics from Tynemouth to Berwick on Tweed, in addition to our state-of-the-art Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital, the first of its kind in England. We also care for people in their homes and provide services from facilities in local communities such as health centres. We give people greater choice and control over their care to help them to live independently at home and avoid hospital admission where appropriate. High quality patient care is at the heart of everything we do and we strive to ensure every single patient and service user has an exceptional experience with us. We have one of the most extensive patient experience programmes of any trust in England.

Liaise with suppliers to ensure effective implementation of the design, by co-ordinated implementation of the new infrastructure.
To document network infrastructure as it is developed and maintained
