HSBC’s Network Management & Market Intelligence function (N2MI) is responsible for the recommendation to appoint and the subsequent monitoring of the Group’s network of agents used by all group entities or global businesses.
The N2MI team is split between core Agent Network Management, Strategic Initiatives and Market Information and Analysis. As part of N2MI’s responsibilities we monitor and appoint the HSBC Group’s cash and custody network. This Agent Bank network provides our internal clients throughout the HSBC Group with a high quality, cost effective and competitive service.
We are currently seeking a high calibre individual to join the team in the role of Network Manager
The scope of N2MI’s activities is focused on assessing the operational risk, efficiency and appropriateness of the agent.
This is a pivotal and highly varied opportunity to learn about a range of products and gain exposure across a global entity.

Responsibilities:

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

  • Provide on-going technical support and market intelligence to operational areas, Global Relationship Managers, client support teams, and product development areas.
  • Ensure that the HSBC Group receives a high quality, competitively priced service from its agents. Facilitating timely and efficient processing in internal operational areas, and which leads to a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Undertaking efficiency checks of agent banks to ensure appropriate service quality is achieved and maintained to the benefit of all external and internal customers.
  • Carry out meetings with operational areas to discuss agent bank operational performance and act as a two way focal point for issue escalation between internal areas and agent banks
  • Ensure all agent bank appointments are consistent with regulatory and compliance requirements, in line with HSBC Group internal controls, and agreed internal strategic relationship direction.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU SHOULD MEET THE FOLLOWING:

  • Proven background in operations, product and /or account management with detailed knowledge of securities services products
  • Strong analytical, control skills, high work standards and attention to detail
  • Excellent client-facing and written communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively
  • Self-starter who has demonstrable exposure to working towards stringent deadlines and can work autonomously
  • Flexible attitude with good planning, assimilation and organisational skills and the ability to prioritise conflicting demands and problem solve
    The base location for this role is London
