Description:
We are looking for a Network Security Support Engineer Associate to join our Security Technology Services team. In this role you will be involved in managing and coordinating activities related to cloud tools and container security and supporting the security posture of EY. You will have the opportunity to stand up new technologies and work with internal and external groups to ensure the Cloud and network infrastructure system is secure and robust. You will be working in a team of like-minded individuals who manage the 24x7 operation of our business-critical technology.
The Network Security Support Engineer Associate will support the run state of our network and cloud infrastructure security tools and their underlying technologies. This role will also be involved in the implementation of new technologies, bringing operational expertise to ensure successful launch as well as upgrading current technologies in production.
EXPERIENCE:
- Approximately 2-4 years of experience in managing network and multi-cloud infrastructure including demonstratable knowledge REST API, python / shell scripting
- Solid understanding of multi-cloud fundamentals
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and Linux
- Strong technical skills and a good understanding of software development principles
- Love for learning and applying technology
- Passion for finding and solving problems
Familiarity with Information Security concept
Responsibilities:
- Support the run state of our cloud infrastructure security tools and its underlying technologies centering on the health of the environment
- Collaborate with our DevOps, Vulnerability management and Compliance teams in a Cloud Environment to implement security best practices for container systems in Azure, and other cloud platforms ensuring integrity, confidentiality of sensitive data and vulnerability management
- Bring operational expertise into efforts which introduce new technologies and upgrade current ones
- Provide hands on remediation and troubleshooting of Information Security technologies that fall under the team’s responsibilities, confirming they are operating within agreed service levels and at peak possible performance
- Participate in planned maintenance activities as well as the standardization and automation of processes and procedures for Information Security technologies
- Assist leadership to drive compliance remediation activities, including participating in identifying key tasks and deliverables to contribute toward successful container health across the environment
- Articulate technology issues/concerns that may emerge at any level of the technical stack, and from any component across the ecosystem, to technology leaders
- Partner in the design and review of technical design of component software features
- Work collaboratively with technical teams interfacing with assigned application
- Create and maintain system documentation, manuals, policy documents, etc.
- Schedule and facilitate meetings as needed
