Description:

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

You are a passionate Network Engineer with experience implementing, supporting, and maintaining a Ruckus-based network, including Switching and Wireless. You have strong demonstrated skills with other vendors as well. You are a self-starter with a passion to continuously improve the quality of our residents connectivity. With experience in managing large, distributed networks, you have a keen eye for monitoring all aspects of the environment proactively and effectively.

WHO WE ARE?

Scape’s vision is to be the Earth’s best living company (so you can see straight off the bat we are a conservative bunch!). We are a leading provider of student accommodation in Australia. We currently have the capacity to provide a home to 17,000 students (and are growing) and we don’t simply provide a bed and roof; we also provide a unique, amazing experience and a safe environment to help students make the most of their studies.

Responsibilities:

As a Network Support Engineer, you’ll play an integral role in our Sydney-based Technology team, providing essential support for the network infrastructure across our nationwide property portfolio of 40+ locations (and growing).
Our Residents are our most important VIP’s and as a Network Engineer, you will ensure that our residents are delivered reliable, secure and highly available connectivity. Aside from our resident connectivity, our network infrastructure is the backbone of our buildings, supporting CCTV, IPTV, Administration and Building Management Systems.
We are consistently upgrading and retrofitting existing properties, actively building new properties and diligently monitoring and supporting business-as-usual. We are looking for an all-rounder to join the team and maintain our (primarily) Ruckus-based network.
This is a role based in our Sydney CBD Head Office.
