Description:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Network & Systems Administrator to manage, maintain, and troubleshoot our organization’s corporate IT infrastructure and SaaS hosted recruitment technology platform. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with network and systems administration, security tools, and technologies such as WAF, Palo Alto Firewalls, Linux and Windows systems, VMWare, Veeam Backup, Tape Backup solutions, and MS SQL Server. As a key member of our IT team, you will ensure the integrity, security, and reliability of our network and systems while providing exceptional support to our users.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Technical Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of Palo Alto Firewalls and WAF (Web Application Firewalls).
- Hands-on experience with Linux Administration and Windows Server Administration.
- Strong familiarity with VMware environments and virtualization technologies.
- Strong networking knowledge, including routing, switching, and security protocols.
- Familiarity with network security tools and practices to ensure data integrity and network protection.
- Experience with Veeam Backup solutions and Tape Backup systems.
- Good to Have:
- Basic knowledge of MS SQL Server & Oracle Database, configuration, optimization, and maintenance.
- Basic knowledge of Jboss & Apache, configuration, optimization, and maintenance.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Network and Systems Administration.
- Proven experience in configuring and troubleshooting firewalls (Palo Alto preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to manage, secure, and troubleshoot Linux and Windows systems.
- Experience managing backup systems and disaster recovery processes.
- Familiarity with database administration, particularly MS SQL Server.
- Certifications (Preferred):
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher.
- Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE).
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent security certification.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically.
- Strong communication skills to provide support and coordinate with internal teams.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Network Administration: Configure, manage, and monitor network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls (especially Palo Alto), and WAF (Web Application Firewall) solutions to ensure secure and efficient network operations.
- Firewall and Security Management: Implement and manage network security measures including Palo Alto Firewalls, Web Application Firewalls (WAF), and other security tools to protect the network and systems from internal and external threats.
- Backup and Recovery: Configure and manage backup systems using Veeam, tape backup, and other data protection technologies to ensure regular, reliable backups and rapid recovery in the event of a disaster.
- Virtualization Management: Administer and maintain VMware environments, ensuring virtualized systems are running optimally and securely.
- System Administration: Manage both Linux and Windows-based servers, ensuring their uptime, security, and performance. Troubleshoot and resolve system issues in a timely manner.
- Database Administration: Support and manage MS SQL Server & Oracle databases, including configuration, maintenance, performance tuning, backups, and security.
- Server Configuration & Maintenance: Configure and maintain physical and virtual servers, ensuring systems are properly optimized and aligned with business needs.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Provide timely support for network and system issues, including diagnosing and resolving hardware and software problems. Assist end users with IT-related issues.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain up-to-date documentation on network and system configurations, procedures, and incident reports. Provide regular status updates to management regarding IT infrastructure health and performance.
