Job Introduction
We’re looking for an exceptional Networks Associate Infrastructure Engineer to help us make a difference to our planet.
As our Networks Associate Infrastructure Engineer, the job may be suitable for hybrid working, which is where an employee works part of the week in the office and part of the week from home. This is a voluntary, non-contractual arrangement and the location advertised will be your contractual place of work.
Our opportunity is full time, 37 hours per week. Our people are at the heart of what we do and we’ll do our best to agree a working pattern that works for everyone.
DESIRABLE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- Technical support experience with proven enterprise networking technical ability.
- An understanding of ITIL concepts, particularly change and incident management.
Responsibilities:
- Install, document, maintain and troubleshoot networking equipment.
- Assist in the supervision of network engineering works, at Exeter HQ and remotely.
- Respond to and resolve incidents, investigating and diagnosing complex network problems, working with users and suppliers as appropriate.
- Implement changes as required by the business to meet the demands of systems delivery, including content switch and firewall configuration.
- The maintenance of local and wide area networks for communication of data, voice, text or images within one or more computer systems.
- Work closely with experts and lead network specialists within the Met Office.
