Description:
Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust hosts the National Centre for Human Retrovirology. We are looking to recruit an innovative and expert Band 8a Neurological Physiotherapist, with previous experience working in the areas of neurology across the patient pathway.
You would work within a highly specialist and dedicated team, comprising of consultants, advanced nurse practitioners and administrative staff, providing interventions to patients who live with HTLV-1, whose needs are often challenging and complex.
The successful applicant will have the opportunities to develop their leadership, research, management and QI skills, whilst being responsible for their own complex day-to-day workload, and collaborating with the rest of the multidisciplinary team
To take a leading role in the advanced assessment and treatment of patients with HTLV-associated neuromuscular disease.
Maintain and develop a high level of expertise within HTLV related neurology and as a senior clinician play an active part in the post graduate training and education of physiotherapists, physiotherapy students and other members of the healthcare team.
To design, lead, conduct and supervise research activity within the specialist service.
