Hiring salary will be in the range of $79,132 to $94,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications and experience. We are seeking a neuroscientist with demonstrated excellence in research on cerebral function across the life span, in humans and/or nonhuman animals, with a systems-level approach, utilizing state-of-the-art imaging methods, especially MRI or in vivo optical imaging.
The successful applicant will have a Ph.D. in Neuroscience or a cognate field and will be able to instruct undergraduate and graduate courses in neuroscience. The successful applicant will develop a research program focusing on mechanisms underlying normal or disordered complex processes, including memory, perception, movement, action, social behaviour, emotion, and/or neurodevelopment in nonhuman animals and/or humans.
The successful applicant will work in a world-class research facility equipped with exceptional infrastructure, including NMRs, 3T MRI, electron microscope, multiphoton and confocal microscopes, high throughput digital imaging, in vitro recording facilities, multiple in vivo ensemble single unit recording suites, dense-array and portable electroencephalography, optical imaging lab, dedicated parallel computing cluster, and numerous state-of-the-art surgical and behavioural testing suites in a newly constructed vivarium.
