Description:
SUMMARY
Join Classical Conversations as a New Business Strategist, where you’ll be at the heart of crafting and implementing innovative strategies for new programs that support our mission, “To Know God and to Make Him Known.” Reporting to the New Business Development Manager, you’ll develop growth strategies, sales targets, budgets, and processes that deliver real value to our Christian homeschooling community. With a strong background in leadership, a collaborative spirit, and a passion for Classical Conversations’ vision, you’ll dive into market research, identify new opportunities, and lead a dedicated team to reach ambitious goals—all within a supportive, remote environment where our core values of Grace, Humility, Integrity, Diligence, and Excellence guide everything we do. SKILLS YOU BRING:
- High school education. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred
- Two or more years of experience leading a team
- Thorough knowledge of Classical Conversations’ content, structure, and pedagogy and its specific definition and application to classical, Christian education
- Thorough understanding of classical tools and the willingness and ability to find the “lost tools of learning” and willingness to learn more about the Classical model
- Acute attention to detail
- Proficient decision-maker and problem-solver
- Agile in adapting to change
- Galvanizing leadership skills that foster teamwork
- Exceptional interpersonal, listening, dialectic, and formal communication skills online and in person
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint software programs
- Demonstrates Grace, Humility, Integrity, Diligence, and Excellence
SUPERVISING
- Supervises Up to 2 full or part-time direct reports and 2 contractors supporting New Business Programs
- Update contracts annually to foster program growth
- Conduct interviews for new hires and contractors and execute final hiring decisions
- Review team’s scorecards monthly and job descriptions annually
- Create and revise any training needed for New Business programs.
- Provide feedback and support for employees and contractors as they implement their programs.
