Description:

The Trusted Payments Product Line is evolving to achieve continued commercial success and to implement towards the north star of being “Global leaders in powering trusted payments, to stop the bad actors in a real time payments world”. The Head of Next Gen Product Development role will be critical role to achieve this ambition, the three areas of focus for this role will be as follows:
Creating a subject area of customer discovery and insights to de-risk product market fit. This advances how we continue adopt and evolve customer engagement to cultivate and expands Trusted Payments product ideas. To be measure through commercial success and customer advocacy.
Move to a month release cadence to increase our speed to market of value and experimentation with our customers to deliver product roadmaps incremental considering annual commercial growth plans.
Define measures of success and collaborate cross functionally to implement continuous process improvements that mean we are evolving as a product delivery team to meet fluid customer and market needs.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform role of product chapter lead across Trusted Payments, define the standard methodologies and measures for product management and collaboratively implementing with the wider product and technology deliver teams.
  • Lead definition of processes to move to a monthly release cadence.
  • Shape the approach to customer discovery by leveraging existing resources and where required provide business rationale for resources which are not limited to personnel.
  • Responsible for translating the proposition strategy into product planning, delivery and marketing throughout the product lifecycle.
  • They will develop a product vision and strategy based on input from Trusted Payments Proposition lead, customers, market research and their own industry insight.
  • They will work closely with Development/Engineering and other teams to deliver products that align with this vision, meet market needs and are delivered to a consistently high-quality standard.
  • They will identify the key benefits and value of products. This will be used to create and maintain marketing plans and collateral (including web updates, product training materials and sales training).
  • Supply to the product strategy and roadmap vision.
  • Lead the product throughout its lifecycle from concept to end-of-life.
  • Collect, lead and maintain traceability of requirements from all collaborators across product releases.
  • Work with Trusted Payment Proposition leader to write the case for investments and gain internal approval.
  • Work with internal collaborators and third parties to assess and establish partnerships.
  • Be the recognized authority in the business on the product, the market, relevant technology and the competition.
  • Develop core positioning and messaging for the product.
  • Perform product demos to customers and develop relationships in key clients.
  • Monitor, report and improve product performance.
  • Run trials and MVPs, develop and deliver go to market launch plans.
  • Supplying to commissioning market and competitor research.
  • Promote the product to sales teams through sales training sessions, webinars, newsletters and other mechanisms.
  • Deliver training to technical sales support.
  • Represent the voice of the customer in senior level management meetings.
  • Evangelize the product internally and externally.

Experience and skills required:

  • Product Management experiences with leading global product lead companies
  • MBA / Graduate or equivalent experience
  • Deep and wide customer discovery experience with Bank, FinTech’s and Multinational Corporates
  • Demonstrate demonstrable technical and professional experience, with extensive Payments industry knowledge.
  • Able to demonstrate a track record of outstanding results’, achievements, including ownership of commercial objectives.
  • Display confirmed ability to lead large, complex projects to successful in-market results.
  • Possess ability to lead large teams in a matrixed organization.
  • Demonstrate ability to Lead to build and grow senior executive relationships with large clients globally.
  • Possess eye for business, strategic and financial planning. Organisation assessment, creativity, highly developed leadership and social skills, strong analytical abilities, budget management and outstanding communication skills.
