We are part of the CMV Group, a South Australian family owned business which has been operating for over 85 years and now employs over 1900 staff across South Australia and Victoria.
About the role
Working in a modern well-equipped workshop we are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our workshop team as New Truck Fitter/ Trade Assistant. Working with our pre-delivery and service teams to undertake a wide range of pre-delivery work and fit outs for our new vehicles.
Duties & responsibilities
- Assist in preparing new vehicles to a high standard
- Ensure all accessories requested on repair orders are fitted and completed
- Identify and advise of any additional work required
- Produce concise reports detailing all work carried out on repair orders
- Assist technicians with general servicing and workshop duties
Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated experience as a Trades Assistant or similar in the automotive industry
- Great attention to detail with strong customer focus
- A “can do” / motivated outlook
- Experience using a wide range of hand held power tools and air tools
- An ability to work unsupervised and within a supportive and friendly team
- Current HC/HR drivers licence would be an advantage
