QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-2 years working experience in an administrative environment
  • Proven customer service skills in a busy office environment
  • Well organized with the ability to enter data with accuracy
  • Advanced numerical and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated use of computer technology including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Experience in database management
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated organizational and planning skills
  • Adaptable, flexible and able to work in a team environment
  • Familiarity with CETRA data base (or extensive use of other data base applications) is an asset
  • Knowledge of French or a language other than English is an asset
  • Ability to multi-task, take initiative and be able to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated experience in dealing with multicultural and disability issues

Responsibilities:

  • Provide enthusiastic, courteous service to NIC, ACHEV and Community Door clients as well as the community at the reception desk
  • Respond to client inquiries by phone and in-person in a friendly and welcoming manner
  • Contact clients to confirm/reschedule/rebook appointments as necessary
  • Perform a variety of clerical duties including filing, typing, photocopying, faxing, confidential record keeping and document distribution in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Contribute to team cohesiveness and team building
  • Assist clients by providing general information and referral to other community services
  • Input and update client information in CETRA
  • Assist in generating statistical reports on a regular basis
  • Order and keep inventory of office supplies
  • Register clients and organize client questionnaires and evaluations
  • Undertake other duties assigned by coordinator
