Job Description:
We are currently seeking a meticulous and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Night Auditor at Shangri-La Sydney. As a Night Auditor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel during the night hours. You will be responsible for reconciling daily transactions, handling guest inquiries and requests, and perform other duties as assigned by immediate Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
YOUR DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Warmly welcome guests upon arrival and check-in/check-out according to established standards and procedures.
- Adheres to all credit procedures and accounting procedures as they pertain to the registration process and check-out process.
- Takes personal responsibility and initiative for any tasks as required, to assure guest satisfaction and follow up when necessary.
- Assures Reception Diary and log book are read at the commencement of the shift.
- Is familiar with all room types and rates in the hotel and their availability status; up-sell whenever possible.
- Is prepared to assist within the Reservations and Communications Sections as the need arises.
- Completes due-out report daily assuring all relevant rooms have been vacated allowing effective turn-around time for the Housekeeping Department.
- Is responsible for cash handling and maintaining personal cash floats.
- At completion of shift assures that you have all back-up to support shift closure reports, that your float is accounted for and that any underage or overages are banked and reported accordingly to the Senior Receptionist.
You will be under an hourly wage of pay as accorded by the HIGA Award 2020 under the Front Office Grade 3 classification including penalty rates.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Exposure to hotel environment
- Knowledge of Opera PMS
- Proven ability to work under pressure
- Available to work overnight shifts
