Description:
CLINICAL LEAD - NIGHTS
Location: Hartwell, Northampton
Hours: 37.5 per week
Salary: £42,900 - £43,300
The Oakleaf Group are currently recruiting for a full time, experienced Night Clinical Lead.
You will be instrumental in the provision of care and therefore it is desirable that you have a proven track record working in a similar position within the care sector.
The Night Clinical Lead is expected to manage the night team, managing issues as they arise, overseeing supervision of nurses and support workers. They will work under the direction of the unit manager to ensure a consistent approach across the service 24 hours per day.
The Oakleaf Group has firmly established itself as one of the leading providers of community based brain injury rehabilitation, providing clients with a high standard of nursing care and an intensive therapeutic rehabilitation programme. This is an excellent opportunity to work with an established service for adults who require nursing care, personal care and rehabilitation programs because of their long-term neurological conditions including acquired brain injury.
DESIRABLE SKILLS AND NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS:
- Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN/RNLD)
- Experience with working in a similar setting
- Demonstrate management experience.
- Possess good judgement, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Possess effective written and verbal communication skills
- Basic IT skills
- Good communication skills
Responsibilities:
- To manage the night team on the unit.
- To manage night issues in liaison with the day clinical lead and unit manager
- To communicate information accurately on patient care to the patient, families, internal and external professionals, including commissioners whilst maintaining confidentiality and adhering to the principles of Information Governance
- To become knowledgeable in policies, procedures and CQC compliance
- Carry out investigations where necessary
- Involvement in managing drug errors and carrying out competency assessments.
- To promote continual improvement of the service as part of Clinical Quality monitoring.
- To ensure and maintain high levels of care, be responsive to complaints and feedback and implementation of effective tools/systems in accordance with CQC standards.
- To promote safe and well-led practice
