Description:
Cromwood was established in 2002 as a response to the serious need for social housing in London. We rapidly grew to become one of the leading providers of social housing to local authorities in England.
We are looking for a dedicated customer focused Night Housing Officer working alongside another established Housing Officer. The key purpose of the role is to support vulnerable adults to ensure that they have a smooth transition into their new residence. The role involves tenant inductions, liaising with the residents to assist them with issues they may experience and working closely with key stakeholders to ensure a professional service is provided and maintained throughout the tenancy period.
A DBS check will be required (paid for by Cromwood).
Location: Cannock, WS11
Contract type: Full time, permanent
Pay: £13.12 per hour (time and a half on Bank Holidays)
Hours: 7pm-7am with a 1 hour lunch break. 4 days on, 4 days off, rota including weekends
Benefits: 5.6 weeks annual leave (including Bank Holidays), company pension scheme
The role is based on site and includes a mix of administrative tasks and face to face interaction.
DESIRABLE
- Previous experience as a Housing Officer preferably in a Housing or professional setting
- Experience of dealing with ASB
- Previous experience working with vulnerable people
- Bachelor’s degree a related field (or equivalent experience)

Responsibilities:
THE NIGHT HOUSING OFFICER ROLE INVOLVES:
- Induct new residents to the property and review the occupancy agreement with them to ensure resident/s are aware and understand all aspects of the property before signing the agreement.
- Provide a guided tour of the facilities, prioritising emergency exists and the fire assembly point.
- Update the property database daily with any changes to occupancy including arrivals and departures.
- Assist the residents with booking GP appointments and transport if required.
- Undertake monthly property inspections to ensure residents are adhering to the property rules and ensure the property is of a good standard.
- Carry out weekly welfare check for the tenants.
- Provide support to the tenants and be the first point of contact for queries.
- Liaise with external stakeholders such as charity organisations.
- Manage any potential complaints received, this may include maintenance issues, anti-social behaviour, general property issues and environmental issues.
- Work closely with residents and offer advice to help promote wellbeing and positive behaviour.
- Update daily trackers and send them to key stakeholders.
- Retain records, reports, and other admin documents are accurate and organised.
