Job Description
We are seeking a passionate, guest-focused Night Manager to join our Front Office Leadership team.
In this role, you will support the Front Office Manager by supervising our team overnight and being responsible for the hotel in the absence of the management team.
This is a full-time position working on a rotating 7-day roster, with a wage of $31.20 per hour PLUS a night allowance from 12am to 5am!
Your daily tasks will include:
- Working overnight from 11pm to 7:30am on a rotating roster.
- Supervising late guest arrivals and early departures, ensuring that room allocations and check-in/check-out processes are customer-focused and follow set procedures.
- Running reports and compiling statistical information as required by finance policies and procedures.
- Compiling Night Audit day pack reports and documents in accordance with PCI Compliance, distributing them to specific departments in a timely manner.
- Completing computer system backups and saving them in accordance with finance policies and procedures.
- Processing guest account transactions.
- Responding quickly to all guest concerns and following up with relevant departments.
- Leading the Night team.
- Managing the security and safety of both hotel guests and employees.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Exceptional communication skills both written, verbal and non-verbal.
- You will be an organized individual with a high attention to detail who is also able to take initiative
- Previous front office experience at a supervisory level.
- A current GM Certificate or the ability to obtain one (candidates must have an LCQ certificate and 3 months of supervisory experience at a licensed premises in NZ).
- Knowledge of Opera Cloud is advantageous.
- A first aid certificate is favourable.
- A current New Zealand Restricted or Full Drivers licence
- NZ citizenship, permanent residency, or a current and valid work visa/permit. (immigration visa support or sponsorship is not available with this role)
