Description:
In response to an approach from the International Protection Accommodation Services, part of the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth, Tetrarch Capital has agreed to refurbish the former Deer Park Hotel (D13T8K1) on the grounds of Howth Estate and to provide temporary accommodation there for people fleeing the war in Ukraine.
With the first of the residents who arrived at the property from June 2022, we are urgently seeking to expand our high-quality team.
From playing a crucial role in the way the accommodation is managed and maintained, to offering a comfortable and homely stay to residents: we want you to bring not only commitment and expertise, and a positive approach.
JOB SUMMARY:
As Night Manager / Security Officer your role will be to assist the Management Team in ensuring smooth operation of all areas of the accommodation and to ensure the highest standards of customer service and oversee effective and efficient operation of all areas.
Responsibilities:
- To support the management team ensuring the smooth running of the accommodation operation during the night shift.
- To manage the operation of all service areas at nights ensuring they are adequately staffed and supervised.
- To deal with resident queries and complaints in a friendly and efficient manner, ensuring resident satisfaction.
- To ensure an organised order of work is in place in all areas and that appropriate service systems are in use throughout the property.
- To communicate with all departments throughout the property and to work closely with department heads at all times.
- To ensure that all staff in all areas are carrying out their duties in an efficient and organized fashion.
- To liaise with the Accommodation Manager regarding all operational issues.
- To ensure a high level of hygiene throughout the accommodation at all times, with a strict cleaning schedule in operation and to ensure all equipment and furniture in the accommodation is maintained and not abused.
- To actively participate in any training and personnel exercises and ensure that new procedures and implemented throughout the team.
- To report for duty clean and tidy with high level of personal hygiene, wearing the correct uniform to Company standard ensuring your name badge is worn at all times whilst on duty.
- Flexibility within each job category/functional area will be required by the company and full inter-changeability between departments will be required. It is an express condition of employment that you are prepared, whenever necessary, and where physically capable of doing so, to transfer to any alternative departments or duties either on a temporary or permanent basis within our business. This flexibility is essential as the type and volume of work is always subject to change, and it allows us to operate efficiently and gain maximum potential from our work force.
- Dependent on business levels within the accommodation, you will be required to assist with duties as directed by Management. These duties may include assistance in duties/ operations in all areas of the accommodation and/or its operation.
- To implement all Health and Safety policies (HACCP) and to ensure that reasonable care is taken for health and safety of yourself, other employees, residents and any other persons on the premises.
- To inform Management immediately in the event that you or a member of your team are involved in or witness to any accident or incident on the property and ensure that incident reports are completed as required.
- To be aware of promote fire and other safety drills and have knowledge of first aid procedures and location of first aid equipment.
- Assume overall responsibility for the safety and security of the property and to carry out specified security duties: including patrols, access control, alarms etc.
- Patrol designated areas throughout the property in accordance with outlined security procedures
- Complete incident reports and required documentation for all security incidents
- Ensure all employees, residents and the public have proper credentials for accessing areas of the property
- Respond to emergencies and incidents on the property promptly and according to policy
