for a Night Operations Manager to join us, on a full time, permanent basis,
to be based out of the Gloucester site Mon to Fri - 19:00 - 05:00 shift
Pay, benefits and more:
The salary on offer will be up to £46,250, (Inc Shift Allowance). We also
offer 25 days’ holiday (including bank holidays), as well as the option to

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Take full operational accountability and responsibility for your

site, effectively managing your time to ensure a safe and efficient

service

  • As a true people manager, you will focus on ensuring that your

colleagues receive the right level of support, coaching and

development

  • Manage the relationship between XPO and our customers, constantly

communicating across various stakeholders

  • Ensure that all teams are aligned, operating to XPO standard policies

and procedures

  • Support the Contract Manager with adherence to all compliance and

legal obligations with a huge emphasis on safety, deputising in their

absence

  • Assist with executing the daily plan for all deliveries and

collections, with a keen eye on resource available at site and keep

the customer updated

  • Working closely with the onsite customer on a day-to-day basis,

you’ll support with period reviews and customer presentation in the

contract managers absence.

  • Provide leadership and guidance for your team to enable them to meet

objectives, encouraging open communication

What you need to succeed at XPO:

  • Ideally you will already be a Transport/Distribution/Operations

Manager working in or having experience in a 3PL environment ,

looking to prove yourself in a complex and diverse operation.

  • A People manager and leader with a collaborative approach to

achieving results

  • Process driven
  • You will have a track record of providing solutions to problems and

delivering results in a fast paced environment
