Description:
Ritestart Limited is a COR Certified General Contractor in the ICI sector and we are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our growing team as a Construction Site Superintendent who is able to work evening and/or night shifts and/or out of town.

The evening/night shift and/or out of town Construction Site Superintendent will report to our General Superintendent and Vice President of Construction.
In this role, you will be a leader on the jobsite, sharing knowledge and experience, while maintaining schedule, safety and supervision.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- A Diploma or degree in Construction Management or Construction Engineering would be a highly regarded asset.
- Willing to work closely with diverse teams and adapt to various roles to build relationships with fellow Team members, subcontractors, the client, consultants and architects.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Strong negotiating skills.
- Current and up-to-date safety training applicable to the role.
This is a permanent, full-time position.
Work Location: Work location will vary depending on the projects (though we are actively seeking for the Owen Sound area).
Salary: $95,000 - $110,000, based on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Provide and display leadership and mentor all site personnel to follow Ritestart Limited’s Health and Safety Program and follow the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations for Construction Projects.
- Maintain site in good order (housekeeping, cleanliness, etc.).
- Ensure subcontractors are held accountable for safety, quality and production.
- Maintain COR standards.
- Act with honesty and integrity and be professional in all aspects of the work, while prioritizing the maintenance of positive relationships with all business partners.
- Maintain the construction project in an orderly manner, from set-up to demobilization.
- Review all contract documentation thoroughly to understand the project scope and specifications.
- Review and understand drawings and subcontractors’ scopes of work.
- Coordinate and schedule work.
- Problem-solve issues as they arise, collaborating with the Project Management team for quick resolutions.
- Collaborate with and motivate subcontractors and own forces to work safely and efficiently with a standard of high safety and quality.
- Update and maintain a 2-week look ahead schedule.
- Maintain project scheduling adherence, adjusting as required in coordination with the Project Management Team.
- Coordinate and manage long-lead items.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and logs (including, but not limited to daily logs, safety records/inspections, daily photos, etc.).
- Establish and identify on-site manpower requirements (including internal labour forces).
- Ensure that the project is built in accordance with the approved plans and specifications, building codes and shop drawings.
- Attend and/or chair project and/or safety meetings as required.
- Conduct quality control checks on all work to ensure compliance with client and consultant requirements.
- Maintain all safety training requirements and other company required training.
- Maintain vehicle inspections and maintenance.
- Occasionally perform physical labour as required to support project completion or to adhere to safety requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
