Description:

THE OPPORTUNITY:

If you have experience with automotive or heavy duty equipment painting and you thrive in fast-paced manufacturing environments, this might be the role for you! Arne’s Welding Ltd. is seeking an experienced Production Painter to join our team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1 or more years’ experience shot or sand blasting on large equipment.
  • 1 or more years’ experience with single stage automotive painting and touch ups
  • A good understanding of paint equipment and mixing systems.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience of coating processes would be an asset.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and organization skills.
  • Some knowledge and experience with Continuous Improvement principles.
  • Physically fit to move shot blast by hand in some case and reload blast hopper.
  • Able to perform shot blast profile measurement.
  • Able to perform both wet and dry film thickness measurements.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

Experience:

  • industrial automotive or Truck/Trailer painting: 1 year (required)

Work Location: In perso

Responsibilities:

  • Prime and paint trailers and trailer parts in a spray booth oven combination environment.
  • Prime and painting large equipment with as close to ZERO paint defects.
  • Perform touchups on units
  • In some cases, able to prime or paint one piece of equipment without stopping till units is finished
  • In some cases, able shot blast one piece of equipment without stopping till units is finished
  • Maintain daily and weekly preventative maintenance of equipment.
