Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support with daily workload and delegation to team
  • Prevent and investigate crimes within the store.
  • Maintain a secure environment for staff and customers.
  • Liaise with Gardai and emergency services as needed.
  • Implement procedures to reduce theft and loss.
  • Control and monitor CCTV and records in line with GDPR.
  • Conduct spot checks on employees and contractors.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of reports.
  • Investigate all acts of crime and loss, pursuing prosecution/recovery.
  • Control key access to critical areas.
  • Ensure staff understand company policy and rules regarding security measures and demonstrate compliance and controls.
  • Assist in emergency procedure implementation and maintenance.
  • Conduct required checks, tests, and inspections for compliance.
  • Train staff in emergency procedures.
  • Perform regular inspections of premises.
  • Review security officers’ daily activities
  • Conduct staff appraisals and corrective interviews as necessary
  • Ensure staff are properly presented and perform to customer service standards.
  • Demonstrate strong, positive communication to all levels, motivating the team and building good working relationships within store.
  • Constantly project a professional image of the company by being an ambassador of Bidvest Noonan’s PRIDE values: Professionalism, Respect, Innovation, Determination, and Excellence
  • Additional duties as assigned by the Security Manager or Security Representatives.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Basic Guarding Skills - QQI Level 4
  • Private Security Authority License - Static
  • Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience in the industry
  • Experience of leading a team within a retail environment
  • Ability to motivate a team with effective communication
  • English communication skills (oral & written)
  • Valid work permit/visa (if applicable)
  • Basic IT skills
