Night Support Worker - Ceredigion Residential (Part-Time)

Hours of Work: Working either 2 or 3 night shifts per week between Saturday – Wednesday 20:00pm – 08:00am – maximum number of hours is 33.75 per week if doing 3 shifts.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The Emergency Assessment Centre in Aberystwyth accommodates people who are homeless in Ceredigion, providing a safe space for them to live and supporting them to move on to more permanent accommodation as quickly as possible. The property is staffed 24/7 and accommodates up to 10 people at any one time in single bedrooms with shared cooking and bathroom facilities. The service is jointly funded by Ceredigion County Council and the Welsh Government’s Housing Support Grant.

PURPOSE OF ROLE

To provide a proactive night time presence within the project to promote quiet and peaceful occupation of its residents/visitors. To respond to disturbances, emergencies and other housing management functions according to procedure and provide ad-hoc support to residents in response to demand. To assist with the organisations lone working and arrangement of out of hours resources.
