KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager, providing direction and leadership to a small team of colleagues, working collaboratively to ensure the smooth running of the Warehouse. • Ensuring the team comply with all company and departmental rules, safe systems of work and quality procedures. • Maintaining effective communication links with both line manager, other shift managers and team with pre shift briefings and toolbox talks. • Using a both manual handling and MHE to manoeuvre tyres of various weights and sizes. • Leading by example and promoting essential safety standards, good housekeeping and site best practice at all times.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• A natural leader and motivator of people and teams, with experience as a Team Leader, Supervisor or similar role in Supply Chain or similar industry is desirable. • Ideally have licences and experience of MHE (VNA, Reach, Counter Balance, LLOP). • Have previous experience of working in and enjoy fast-paced customer driven warehouse environments. • Must be well organised, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, good knowledge of IT and systems, and a keen eye for detail. • People focused, with an ability to develop themselves and others professionally within a distribution environment. • Previous use of Warehouse Management Systems would be advantageous. • Happy to work in a physically demanding role.
