Overview:
Novant Health Waverly Pediatrics & Primary Care is seeking a Nonregister Clinical Lab Tech. The Nonregister Clinical Lab tech performs routine and/or complex tests that may require operation and maintenance of instruments and assurance of quality work. Follows appropriate policies and procedures for equipment use and maintenance. Generates results of laboratory tests, coordinates and priorities assigned activities to achieve maximum productivity, reporting problems and referring questions to manager or laboratory coordinator. Verifies patient identity, performs phlebotomy services, registers patients in the laboratory information system (LIS), and orders appropriate tests per physicians’ orders. Performs duties in clinic areas other than the laboratory as assigned by clinic manager.
